Hello, I’m Art M. Niemann, owner and operator of Niemann Profiles. I’m glad you’re here, learning more about our company and how we can help your organization. Let me tell you a little about who we are, what we believe and why you should work with our team.
My father, Arthur C. Niemann (pictured left), started our company in 1980 after working for two significant Chicago-area insurance firms, Combined Insurance and Pat Ryan & Associates. Dad had a passion for “making peoples’ lives better.” He did this through training on “Developing a Positive Mental Attitude” just as his mentor, W. Clement Stone, did before him at Combined Insurance. When starting his own company, Art’s primary goal was to help clients improve their HR management by hiring the right person and managing people in a positive and personalized manner. During his career, Art became a well-known and highly respected motivational speaker, trainer and mentor to hundreds of business professionals. Dad passed away in 2017 at 87, but his work and legacy lives on at our firm and with the clients he served.
I joined the firm in 1984 after playing baseball in the Chicago White Sox organization and finishing my academic training in Psychology. I must say, I had a remarkably unremarkable career as a minor league pitcher for the Sox. Sure, I could throw 90+ mph, but those fastballs had trouble finding the strike zone.
With Niemann Profiles, I have used my training in Psychology and Human Resources to create a Behavioral Assessment Service that is unmatched in employment testing. I’m passionate about the management training I conduct with our clients in the US, Canada and the UK. I strive to carry on dad’s passion for helping people while bringing our clients industry-leading assessment services.
In 1989 we moved our operations from Chicago to Utah to enjoy the great outdoor experiences available here. When not working I enjoy mountain biking and skiing in the beautiful Wasatch mountains. My wife Sarah and I are glad to call Utah home while raising three cool kids.
I’m confident our company has the experience and expertise to help with your assessment needs. Read what one of our clients said before reading a little about my Vice President and 20+ year employee, Brad Lortsher.
“In the time since my team and I have become certified AVA analysts we have reduced turnover by over 100%. We have increased production dramatically and profits three-fold. I wish that I would have been exposed to AVA the day I started my first job. I would never operate a business without utilizing the AVA Behavior Assessment System from Niemann Profiles.”
I joined Niemann Profiles in 1996 after completing my degree in Business Management and Human Resources at the University of Utah. Go Utes! Before joining Art’s team, I worked for O.C. Tanner Company in Salt Lake City providing recognition and service awards to organizations and their employees. I also served a full-time mission for two years in Florida and Georgia.
I have fun and work hard to impart my 20+ years of AVA knowledge and Human Resources Management with each report I process for our clients. Art keeps me busy engaging in a variety of client services including AVA profile analysis, sales work, seminar presentations and analyst training.
When Art lets me out of the office, I spend time with my wife and four kids and we are actively involved in our community and church. My passion is golf (even though my handicap is going up) and I really enjoy camping, hiking and other activities with my family. Lastly, I had more hair when I joined the company in 1996.
